This market will resolve to "Yes" if the United States government, or an authorized representative of the United States government, publicly and officially announces the end, termination, cessation, or suspension of the United States' offensive military action against Iran, between market creation and the specified date, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". An announcement qualifies if it communicates that the United States will generally cease offensive military operations against Iran, including an announcement of a ceasefire, truce, or cessation of hostilities to which the United States is a party, even if some measures remain (for example, the naval blockade, sanctions, or a defensive military posture). A time-limited cessation qualifies, provided it constitutes a general suspension of US offensive military action against Iran. A qualifying announcement need not include a commitment from Iran, provided the end or suspension of US offensive military action is communicated. An announcement does not qualify if it reflects only a limited or partial change that stops short of a general end or suspension of offensive military action against Iran. For example, a pause limited to a specific area, target, or operation, a halt to a single wave of strikes while broader operations continue, or a reduction in the scope or intensity of operations would not qualify. A qualifying announcement must be a declarative statement of the United States government's present cessation or suspension of offensive military action against Iran, previously-unannounced prior cessation or suspension of such military action, or definitive decision to cease or suspend such military action. A qualifying announcement must clearly and unambiguously identify the end or suspension of US offensive military action against Iran. Statements that merely allude to, reference, or describe an end to US offensive military action against Iran, without clearly communicating it, do not qualify. The announcement need not use specific terminology or reference a ceasefire by name; an announcement of a resumption of prior obligations, the maintenance of a status quo, or a return to a previously agreed baseline qualifies, provided the substantive policy of ending or suspending offensive military action against Iran is clearly and unambiguously communicated. A qualifying announcement must be made through official channels, by an individual acting in an official capacity. Statements made incidentally or informally in a context not intended for official communication do not qualify. The following do not qualify: Anonymous, unattributed, or leaked statements not confirmed as official; Statements by persons not authorized to speak for the United States government; Third-party speculation, analysis, or predictions that the United States government will announce or implement an end to military action; Satirical, fabricated, hacked, or impersonated communications; Announcements or acceptances of a ceasefire attributed only to Iran, mediating states, or any party other than the United States; and Statements that describe a prospective, contingent, probable, or conditional end to military action rather than announcing a present and decided position. Once a qualifying announcement is made, this market will resolve to "Yes" regardless of whether it is later reversed, or whether military action actually ends in practice. Resolution will be based on official information from the United States government, including the President, the Department of Defense, the Department of State, and United States Central Command (CENTCOM), or the official representatives of the United States government.

There is wasn’t officially announcement

hdtomo 5h ago

I did say, it's obvious to everyone, it's a bet on Trump saying "We're cutting the attacks!!!" That's all he's done for 5 months, say he's going to cause hellfire and then says "We have secured peace" every 24 hours

hdtomo 5h ago

And you think UMA will be impartial enough to rule Trump's Truth Social isn't authoritive?

One of the clearest NOs I have ever seen

0xbF4d202382 9h ago

If every time Iran attacks commercial ships and the U.S. responds with strikes, there is a subsequent pause — and if that also qualifies under the rules — then what kind of absurd market is this?

JesusReturns2026 9h ago

This should be NO on the evidence submitted. The rules require a public, official, declarative statement clearly announcing a general suspension of US offensive military action. None has been produced. In the gaggle clip, Trump says Iran asked the US to stop and then describes “where we are right now.” That is an allusion to the situation—not an unambiguous declaration that the US has suspended offensive operations. The Axios article is weaker still. “Trump decided to pause strikes” is the journalist’s paraphrase, not Trump’s declarative words, and Axios is not an official US channel. Trump’s actual quotes discuss negotiations, mediator requests and possible renewed “very strong” action. They never announce a general cessation. The article also describes a geographically limited hold-fire around southern Iran and Hormuz—exactly the kind of partial pause the rules exclude. A real-world pause may have occurred. But without the required official announcement, the current YES proposal is premature. NO.

0xbF4d202382 9h ago

It's a complete scam. This market is entirely based on the flow of funds and interprets the rules.

95074f700f93bdf6e62fc965e0832064c0877b04 9h ago

No individual or institution of the U.S. government has issued any formal official statement. Trump’s remarks are merely descriptive explanations of the reasons behind a tactical pause in airstrikes.

0xbF4d202382 9h ago

Trump’s remarks in the Axios interview are still essentially conditional in nature. He explained why the strikes were paused (at Iran’s request / to give space for negotiations) and explicitly stated that airstrikes would resume if no agreement is reached. This is more like explaining the reason for the current tactical choice, rather than the kind of formal declaration required by the rules — “I hereby officially announce that the United States is generally suspending/ceasing offensive military operations against Iran.” The rules explicitly exclude statements that are conditional, prospective, or uncertain.

No Truth post, no CENTCOM statement, no DoD release exists here. Thsi should be a NO

No individual or institution of the U.S. government has issued any formal official statement. Trump’s remarks are merely descriptive explanations of the reasons behind a tactical pause in airstrikes.

POLY SCAM !!!!! WHY RESOLVE AGAINST CHEAP SHARES ? SEE YOU IN COURT !!

Roeman 9h ago

No argument is non existent 💀

EmeraldEdge 10h ago

A clarification means the Poly team found the evidence it needed to rule in favor of what the market intended. Poly wants to resolve Yes.

uma whales are about to be cooked

adasol 10h ago

the best Yes team can have is an Early Request :)

0xbF4d202382 11h ago

5. Resolution is based on an “official announcement,” not on whether strikes are actually occurring The rules are very clear: without a formal official announcement, it cannot resolve to Yes.

Steve-Haines 11h ago

Stop the AI SPAM scammer

Roeman 10h ago

Almost like trump is a us official and he said the strikes are halted

0xbF4d202382 12h ago

4. Retention of the ability and intent to resume strikes at any time The U.S. side continues to emphasize that airstrikes will resume if negotiations fail. This contradicts the requirement of announcing a general suspension of offensive operations — a genuine declaration of suspension would not typically retain the condition that a formal ceasefire must still be negotiated. This only proves that the current situation is not a formal ceasefire.

0xbF4d202382 12h ago

3. It is only a reduction in actual operations, not a “general suspension”The rules specifically state that a pause limited to a specific area, target, or operation, a halt to a single wave of strikes while broader operations continue, or a reduction in the scope or intensity of operations does not qualify. The current situation is closer to a “tactical buffer” than an announced general cessation of offensive military action.

0xbF4d202382 12h ago

2. Trump’s statements are conditional, not definitive Trump has clearly stated that the pause was made at Iran’s request and that airstrikes will resume if the two sides fail to reach a new ceasefire agreement. The rules explicitly exclude statements that describe a prospective, contingent, probable, or conditional end to military action. This is a classic conditional/tactical pause, not the “present and decided general suspension” required by the rules.

AlejandroGomez 12h ago

Treating an Axios news report as if it were an official announcement is a ridiculous bet. The rules are clear, and they are the only resolution criteria. For that reason, this market should resolve as “No.”

EmeraldEdge 10h ago

An Axios report from Barak Ravid was enough to resolve Yes on the Trump insulting Netanyahu market.

0xbF4d202382 12h ago

Lack of a qualifying “formal announcement” The market rules clearly require a public and official announcement by the U.S. government or an authorized representative stating a general end, termination, cessation, or suspension of U.S. offensive military action against Iran. So far, there have only been descriptive media reports and conditional remarks from Trump — no official declarative statement that meets the required standard.

POV: comments section is a buncha noobs buying at 5c to try scam a market

Savage-Snow 12h ago

An operational lull or unannounced pause does not fulfill the resolution criteria by itself. President Trump explicitly stated that Washington remains in "very deep talks with Iran" but warned that the U.S. remains ready for "strong military action" if negotiations fail. No official statement explicitly declaring an end, cessation, or formal suspension of offensive military operations has been released yet.

0xbF4d202382 12h ago

CNN reports that Trump has warned airstrikes will resume if no ceasefire agreement is reached with Iran. This makes clear that the current overall pause in U.S. offensive operations is conditional and depends on the outcome of ceasefire negotiations between the two sides. The present halt in airstrikes is therefore only a tactical buffer, not a formal or unconditional suspension of offensive military action.

666688888 12h ago

That 'President Trump decided to pause U.S. strikes on Iran to give negotiations another chance' is just a media narrative, not an official statement.

666688888 13h ago

Trump literally just said, 'All of the people that deal with Iran asked me: Don't fire,' and warned he’d resume 'very strong military action' if talks fail. The reporter/media framed it as 'Trump decided to pause strikes' to spin a narrative. A conditional, tactical pause requested by mediators is NOT an official, unconditional declaration of a ceasefire

Lolakis 12h ago

hey dumfuq, the market isnt about a ceasefire

shilei07 14h ago

"President Trump ... decided to pause U.S. strikes on Iran in order to give negotiations another chance, but stressed that he could order a return to expanded military operations if diplomacy fails." RULES: "This market will resolve to "Yes" if the United States government, or an authorized representative of the United States government, publicly and officially announces the end, termination, cessation, or suspension of the United States' offensive military action against Iran, between market creation and the specified date ... A time-limited cessation qualifies, provided it constitutes a general suspension of US offensive military action against Iran."

shilei07 14h ago

The market required an announcement of a cessation of hostilities, for any number of time. Not a truce, not a peace agreement. Read the rules guys.

shilei07 14h ago

"We are in very deep talks with Iran. If they don't work out, we will go back to very strong military action," Trump said in the interview. All of the people that deal with Iran asked me: 'Don't fire,'" Trump said, stressing that he thinks Iran wants to make a deal. Between the lines: "Nothing gained, nothing lost," Trump said when he explained why he agreed to the mediators' request.

KazakhJournalist 13h ago

Newspapers and talkshows are no official channels though. I thought an official channel would be something like a White House statement, press briefing, official transcript, or post on an official White House account. Not Trump yapping on a phone call or talkshow. I think the rules explicitly set a very high bar on what qualifies and none of his quotes in their contexts satisfy them imo, maybe I'm not reading it properly but kind of confused.

666688888 12h ago

shilei07 1h ago

"publicly and officially announces the end, termination, cessation, or suspension of the United States' offensive military action against Iran, between market creation and the specified date " When the president speaks in public while he is in office, how can that be non-official?
